Hearing on Legislative Proposals for Paid Family and Medical Leave
On January 28, 2020, CLASP submitted a statement for the record to the subcommittee of the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee outlining the benefits paid family and medical leave has on workers, families, employers, and small businesses; the current realties to why we urgently need a national paid family and medical leave program; and the valuable information we’ve gathered from state programs on how to design a comprehensive and equitable paid family and medical leave program that will benefit all workers, including low-income individuals and their families.
