The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has proposed creating an online form where the general public can submit unsubstantiated reports of fraud about individual immigrants. CLASP submitted the attached comments in opposition to the proposal on April 11, 2019. We believe that such reporting is a waste of government resources and will create yet another avenue for bigotry and harassment with serious consequences for individuals and communities of color.
