Fact Sheet: Effective COVID Relief Depends on the Inclusion of Immigrants
The COVID-19 legislation enacted to date has excluded millions of immigrants and their families from health care and economic relief. Policies that leave out immigrants and their families – many of whom are essential workers providing care for our loved ones and delivering our groceries – undermine public health and the economic recovery. The below data snapshots the experience of immigrants nationally and across selected states, including the barriers they face in accessing crucial public benefits and economic impact payments (EIPs), and the potential impacts inclusion could have on our collective health and safety.
