Patrick Corvington
Patrick Corvington is a seasoned senior executive who has devoted his career to social justice, service, and community change. With a deep belief that inequality should be addressed from multiple perspectives, he has worked in small and large national nonprofit organizations, philanthropy, and the public sector as the Senate-confirmed CEO of the Corporation for National and Community Service in President Obama’s administration.
As a results-driven leader, he has led large-scale projects at The Annie E. Casey Foundation, Habitat for Humanity International, and the Corporation for National and Community Service. Patrick’s personal experience as a Haitian immigrant has informed much of his community and policy approaches. He was humbled to receive the Outstanding American by Choice award during his tenure in the Obama Administration.
Patrick has a BA from the University of Maryland and an MA in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University, where he received the National Minority Leadership Fellowship from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. He also received an honorary doctorate from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Patrick is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Lab School of Washington and is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.
