Christian Collins
Christian Collins is a policy analyst with CLASP’s Education, Labor, and Worker Justice team. A native of Akron, Ohio and proud product of public schools, he holds a strong commitment to promoting racial justice through public policy and advocacy. His expertise is in both postsecondary education and labor rights policy, with specific expertise on how the experiences of male students of color in postsecondary education highlight greater socioeconomic inequities they face.
Before coming to CLASP, Christian was a researcher for SEIU, a research assistant for the Urban Institute, and a state fiscal policy intern for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. In Ohio, Christian served in legislative internships at the state and local levels. He holds a master’s degree in public management from Johns Hopkins University, a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in public policy from The Ohio State University, and also attended Kent State University during his undergraduate studies.
