“Once again, this administration has resorted to harmful and hateful tactics to send a message of unwelcome and create fear and anxiety for many immigrant families and their children,” said Olivia Golden, executive director for the Center for Law and Social Policy. 

“In its ongoing assault on legal immigration, the White House decided to release on a Friday evening its latest anti-immigrant plan that would deny entry visas to immigrants who cannot prove they have private health care coverage or will secure it within 30 days.  This is just one more shameful and lawless step by this administration to penalize immigrants who are only seeking an opportunity to join their families and contribute to America’s future.”
